If you’re a digital marketer who is asked to maximize the sales, awareness, engagement, or website visits within the assigned budget and you have done all what it takes on social media platform, then you may need to think about advertising on Snapchat.

First you need to log into your Snapchat Ads Manager, signup and connect your account.

Once signed in successfully, you will be having the ads manager dashboard.

Now on the top right corner click new campaign, and choose the option “Instant Create” if you are busy doing other tasks, but here we will use the “Advanced Create” option.

Now let’s choose one of the objectives that Snapchat Ads Manager provides:

  • Awareness – Reach and Impressions
  • App Installs – Mobile App Installs
  • Website Traffic – Website Visits and Swipe ups
  • App Traffic
  • Engagement – Profile Engagement and Follows
  • Video Views
  • Lead Generation – Mainly for Registrations or Forms
  • Website Conversions – Pushing Customers to Do an Action on Your Website
  • Catalog Sales – Focus on Shopping or Ecommerce Sales

Put in mind that snapchat advertising cost depends on the objective you choose and the time period your snap ads will run.

Now let’s scroll down to the next steps:

Now the objective you have chosen appears at the top of the Campaign Setup section.

Now give your campaign a name, choose the time period your campaign you will run in and set daily or/and liftime spend cap.

Moving to the Ad Set creation section:

Creating ads sets means that you are splitting your campaign into groups of ads, each group have different ads, costs and caps but with the same objective.

Like what we did at the campaign setup section, you need to give each ad set a name, move down and select the type of ad you want to use from the Ad Format Section.

I guess you’ve listed and wrote down the segment you would like to target with your ads.

Now choose the location where your audience are located and pick up their ages, languages and genders.

Moving to the delivery section you will be able to customize the budget and bidding strategy you would like to use.

  • Autobid, Target Cost, Max bid

Now after you have customize your campaign and ad set setup, lets move to the next section.

Create the Snapchat Ads

We’ve become familier with Snapchat Ads Manager steps.

Give your ad a name, type the brand name which will appear at the top left corner on the ad, and a headline which may include the call to action under the brand name.

Now upload the your media which is the same size of Instagram stories, select the call to action from the Call to Action list

  • More – Swipe Up – Get Offer etc,.

Then put your website URL which the customers will be directed to.

Here we go to the final step by clicking the next button.

Now you will see a screen giving you all the information you need to know about your campaign for your review.

Once review click the Publish Campaign button on the right bottom corner.
